The days are gone when we saw diesel powered motorcycles, almost all the bikes are now petrol powered. But now to avoid increasing rates of petrol indian Motorcycle Brand Bajaj Has introduced the world's first CNG bike called Bajaj Freedom 125.
We have heard of bikes powered by the fuels like Petrol, diesel,kerosene, electricity and and Ethenol fueled bike, we've also watched home made Steam engine bikes, but never heard of CNG fueled bike, Indian motorcycle brand has made it posible. Bajaj motorcycles has launched the world's first CNG powered Motorcycle called Bajaj Freedom. The design is much similar to the Scrambler bikes sold by bajaj in indian market.
Fuel tank capacity
Lets talk about it's Highlighted feature,
Bajaj Freedom has a 2 kilogram CNG tank which is fitted under the long sized seat.
It's a CNG bike that Doesn't mean that it does not have petrol fuel option, it also has a Petrol Fuel tank of 2 liter capacity which is offered as a secondary fuel option. Company claimes that the combined mileage of both the fuel tanks is around 330 kilometers once filled fully.
Engine, Specs & features
As he names suggests The Bajaj Freedom 125 has a 125 air cooled engine alined horizontally, which generates 9.3 brake horse power and 9.7 newton meters of torque. It has a 17 inch alloy wheel at front and 16 inch alloy wheel at rear. The bike comes with three different variants and all of them have a single disc brake at front. The motorcycle has Telescopic suspensions at front and a monoshock suspension at rear side.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 has three colour options which include caribbean blue, Cuber white and rasing red. Motorcycle has a long flate seat, a semi-digital instrument conole which includes information icons like neutral gear & low CNG alert, it has a upright driving postion so has a wide handlebar. It has centre set foot pegs. It has circular headlamp with DRL which looks like a modern retro aesthetic bike.
Price and availability
The Bajaj Freedom has three variants to choose and it's price in india starts from 95,000 INR and goes upto 1.10 lakh INR. Now it's sales are going begin in Indian states like Gujarat and Maharashtra but report suggests that it will be exported to Tanzania, indonesia, bangladesh and Peru. But Prices will depend on the area and country taxes, Export charges may also affect the vehicle princing. We also hope that african and australian markets get it imported.
