On 27 september 2015 a new sim company by Millionaire Business man Mukesh Ambani Changed the model of telecom industry. It was called Jio, now is facing its fall, know how BSNL has got a great chance to to return.
After 2015 all the telecom comoanies strated struggling because Jio entered the market with 4G voLTE. Jio Provided free unlimited 4 data in the beginning. And after some years they started charging minimal prices of data plans. Jio offered 1.5GB data per day for 28 days at 149 INR, and another plan was 1.5GB for 84 days only for 399 INR. But they increased plan prices once they got famous.
Then 28 days plan became 199rs and 84 days plan 500 INR mark, 399 plan was only able to provide 56 days of 1.5GB daya per day to Jio users. After that it became 479 INR for 56 days and for 28 days olan users had to pay 249 INR to jio. The intresting thing is that No riwal was able to make competition in the market because of some reason.
The Indian government limited company TRAI started putting aligations and putting sanctions on Jio riwals, it seemed like TRAI was indirectly supporting Jio in order to finish competition. So comoetitors had to walk behind jio, they started increasing and decreasing prices whenever jio did.
It's like jio became boss of the industry. Now in 2024 jio recharge plans increased again, the plan in which Comoany provieds 1.5GB per day and unlimited calls for 28 days is now for 299INR which was 249 recently. And another plan in which Company provides 1.5GB data and unlimited calls is now for 579 INR which was for 479 INR earliIran
Jio effect took Uninor and tata docomo to to end, and Vodafone and idea to merge, now including airtel they all follow jio.
As being followers of jio all other telecom comoanies also increased their plan charges, but stort doesn't end here, now comes the twist in picture, Governmental Company called BSNL has always tried to provide telecom services at afforadable prices.
But unlike its riwals, BSNL lacks the so called new generation network speed. But unfortunately Just like other companies BSNL was also targeted by a perticular government organization and was sanctioned from making 4G network system. BSNL still provides 3G services to its users but experts claim that their towers can be fixed in order to provide atleast 4G network.
You may not belive that it's the time when other companies are "Playing Gimmicks" by the name of 5G network services, BSNL still rocks 3G. Low Priced data and calling plans offered by BSNL started attracting users not to pay much for sim card plans. Now BSNL has rocked the market by taking over many subscribers from jio and its allies. Jio users got frustrated and started using hashtags like #Boycottjio, #PortToBSNL and #isupportbsnl on social media platforms.
Jio new recharge plans have cuased huge losses to jio, according to report from trustable source, around 1 lakh jio users performed replaced jio with bsnl at just one day, and many have to perform ports yet. By seeing these user activities BSNL started increasing number of its network towers from around 3,000 to almost 10,000 towers across india. And now is planning to increase the numbers to even higher. BSNL could not perform good in cities but has a strong network in rural areas. Let's see how it performs in future.
